No it's not. You pay for it with your Netflix plan.

Any better than what?

Netflix streaming has some good stuff on it. There are some newer movie releases available, but it's mostly stuff 5+ years old. But just about anything listed on Starz channels is available on Netflix streaming. Just use your remote and you'll have an idea of what you can watch.

Netflix streaming is pretty good for TV shows though. You can watch full seasons of The Office, Lost, etc without commercials.

step brothers
boy in striped pajamas

seems like their selection jumped when the new xbl update went out this week. there's plenty to watch; but yep, there's also plenty not there.

I hear good things about Dexter. Didn't know netflix was streaming it, I'll have to look into it.

Some gems:

- Friday Night Lights
- LOST
- Miami Vice
- Magnum PI
- Rockford Files

Pretty much netflix instant is about classic tv..tons of older series on there.

I don't see how anyone can complain about the selection this early in the rollout. I consider it a free supplement to my existing services of both netflix and xbox live. i payed for both of those before and would continue to do so.

i would highly suggest using an RSS reader like Google Reader and adding the New to Instantly subscription. You'll see that they're adding hundreds of titles a week. Out of that hundred I usually add at least 5. I'm not watching 5 movies a week so by my math the quality supply is surpassing my demand. thus i'm pleased. now that you can browse while on the xbox, try the Movies We Know You'll Love (or something like that) section. Lots of great titles in there.

wow..i had no idea you could do this. i was wondering how to check when somethig new was added because i think the netflix UI is terrible on the website. quit friggin giving me the 'baby ui' and let me see some 6 point grid view reports that i can customize the way i want.

This is my only complaint with Netflix. The UI. Other than that, I find the product and service top notch.

i love you man

this is the coolest thing i've seen since i signed up for netflix. where has this been hiding all this time? damn this is a great way to sift through new stuff..quite an improvement on the horrid way movies are 'browsed' on the site.

Anyone who bitches about the selection of streaming movies on Netflix has an extremely narrow taste in movies.

If you can't wait a day for new releases, stick with Blockbuster.
