we've been waiting since 2007

every year early on we don't really do much different than the previous year or add much creativity to the playcalling/gameplanning, and every year a certain segment of fans (who trusts our coaches no matter WHAT) comments that we don't want to "show our hand"

well generally nothing changes

last year was crowton's 2nd year, so we anticipated a big change. well understandably we were in flux due to QB issues. crowton gets a pass, even with the slide late (i believe that was an executive to go conservative, which tanked our offense)

but when do we stop hiding our "real" offense? is it this year? which game?

last year probably threw a big wrench in his plans with the QB situation and all. You're limited by your weakest link and last year it was the QB.

I don't understand why we don't run the offense we ran in the beginning of '07 vs. Virginia Tech. Basically a spread zone read type. Very simple, somewhat boring, but like novicain, works every time. With a good defense, there's no reason to get creative and try to do too much offensively.

As soon as Jefferson feels comfortable and we play a team worth a shite.

Everone in the stadium will recognize the moment:
R. Hobley will leave the LSU sideline and enter the LSU offensive huddle...
Where he lines up exactly and how we intned to use him, only Crowton knows...

maybe we're not hiding our "real" offense and there is no dream offense that fans seem to think is coming.

There is no "special offense" that we are waiting to see.

imo Jefferson really isnt the ideal qb to run Crowton's full offense either, slightly closer than flynn

that is not to say he cant or wont, he just isnt ideal...i think Shep can be that qb assuming he develops as a passer

still has a history of exciting spread offenses and seems to be adding in spread option

no way will russell sheppard ever be mentioned with any QB who has ever thrown for 5,000 yards in a season like tim rattay

Why do you always post questions that you already know the answer to? Like the kid that sits in the front of class and raises his hand just to let everyone else know that he has the right answer.

The team isn't hiding anything on offense. But you already knew that.

we scored enough points to win all 4 of those games (and if fact, did win 2 of them)

i actually have no idea what the answer to this question is

i pose questions to either (1) be funny or (2) make people think

i just doubt this

i heard we practiced a wild-x formation last year. we just never saw it in games

we have seen flashes, like KW-CS in the same backfield at USC last year. or the motion-triple option of RP-TH-KW against UF in 07. or the swing screen/lateral we used last year (can't recall the game)

and we did line up in spread a good bit in 2007 and even threw in some spread option (we used a lot of it in the peach bowl with JJ)
