driving home from my trip to Albuquerque, I stopped in Gallup to get some gas before getting back on the road. Forgot that I had an LSU shirt on when I hear 3 voices yelling "geaux Tigers." Turns out it was a family of LSU fans that were heading out to the Grand Canyon and then on to Las Vegas. Talked a little bit about the CWS and the upcoming football season before we all shook hands and got back on the road.

It never ceases to amaze me when you think of some of the out of the way places that you can run into fellow Tigers fans. Especially on a road that used to be known as Route 666.

I was at the Soul food festival in Boise, ID today and saw a guy with an LSU hat on. I gave him a "Geaux Tigers!" By the way, the catfish at the soul food fest was disgusting. Nothing like Louisiana Catfish.

Was in Niagra Falls (Ontario side) last July, girlfriend was wearing my LSU hoodie and the Geaux Tigers we got from an alumnus was cool, but as we talked a little bit the dirty looks we got from an Ohio Suckeye family was priceless! We just smiled and killed them with southern hospitality.

Got a Geaux Tigers from an AZ State baseball fan at the Phnom Penh, Cambodia airport while i was waiting for a plane to Bangkok last month. Said he loves college baseball and LSU is one of his favorites to watch.

I'll give ya a Geaux Tigers from ABQ! There are a few of us out here. Gallup is about an hour and a half west of here though. That's not exactly on the way back to Louisiana. I'm all too familiar with the trek from ABQ to LA.

I am in Albuquerque right now visiting my brother, who graduated from LSU and is a huge fan. Anyways, we got a "Geaux Tigers" at the airport when we were walking to get my bags

I'd forgotten about getting one while at the Sandia Casino. We'd just gotten back from the Tramway and the mountain. Had a few drafts at the High Finance (aptly named) Restaurant on the peak. Doesn't take long to get a good beer buzz at 10,000+ feet.

Well, I'm based in Las Vegas now, so I had to travel the other way. Trust me, I was more than a little tempted to Take I - 25 south, hook a left onto I - 10 and just keep going.

Right now, there's an outside chance that we may return there for the Balloon Fest, since it starts on my birthday. I'll let you know if I do, see if I can find out where Tigers fans hook up for football games there.

I've gotten Geaux Tigers on the tube in London, in Singapore, Tokyo airport, Guam, and countless other places over the years.

I recieved and gave many Geaux Tigers in Shanghai over a 2 1/2 year stretch, and we had no problem findins LSU clothing although I am sure it was not official.

Bet it was a good bit cheaper, though.

I spent a year and a half at Osan AB and Seoul in South Korea in the mid 80's. Got a couple of "Geaux Tigers" while there. Had one of the tailors there make me a personalized LSU jacket that was BADASS. I'd held onto it for a number of years after that. Then, I gave it to my oldest nephew after I'd outgrown it. He'd kept it until he lost it to Katrina.

Ah yes, shopping the Iatewon in Seoul.

Do they still sell the knock-off Members Only jackets?
