LSU Disrespected by Congressman

Yesterday, Congressman Cassidy introduced a routine resolution in the U.S. House congratulating the LSU Tigers on their victory in the 2009 College World Series.
You can see here that 426 reps voted yes, but just one voted present.
And that one guy is Rep. Joe Barton of Texas--and he doesn't even represent Austin.
These things usually pass unanimously and take no time at all--this guy went out of his way to disrespect LSU.
I think y'all should call his office at 202-225-2002 and tell him what you think. I already called a minute ago.

No, don't call his office. That's just dumb as shite.
It's his vote, he can vote however he wants or how he feels his people would want him to (which is probably the same way). Let him be classless.

This game will be closer than people think. I think I heard the line will likely be or is around 18 but I am going to say tigers win 24-7.

Mine was an opinion that makes sense.. This guy is mad because some congressman from Texas didn't vote for LSU.

Don't they have more pressing issues to be dealing with?

Barry Obama voted "present" 130 times while a senator in Illinois. Maybe Congressman Barton has White House aspirations.

He's the guy, along with Orin Hatch, who is always pushing for hearings on the BCS.

Am I the only one who thinks this makes NO sense. The OP states th eline to be 18. Also states it will be "closer than people think", then predicts a 17 point sprad. Basically reinforcing the 18 point spread.
