Was checking out this site...you can find any ticket to any game with no problem. Has any of you ever bought tickets off this site?

yeah, once, and I got the best tickets in the entire arena for a Phish show the DAY BEFORE the show. Someone must've turned them back in or something.

It is safer than E-bay, but at times you will not be getting as good of a price.

If the ticket broker "markup" doesn't scare you off - then SH is a great option... it's safe you will not be scammed ... but you will PAY for the tickets, no doubt about that.

I've had a lot of success with this site. They also garuntee equal seats or better if the 'seller' doesn't come through. I bought 'average' seats to an Astros game last year and two days before the game I still didn't have my tickets. They got me seats right behind home plate. That's the only issue I've ever had so it worked out pretty good.

Keep in mind that stubhub is just the middle man and you aren't actually buying the tickets FROM them. Stubhub has little to no inventory of their own (the reason I say "little" is because they'll have pickup locations closer to the actual date of events and for larger functions).

Great company to buy tickets from, we used them to buy 10 tickets to the Allstate BCS National Championship game in New Orleans. All the tickets worked out fine. Also, there customer service people are very nice.

However, like one poster said eariler, they do not hold tickets. As soon as you agree to buy tickets on their site. They send the seller a prepaid UPS shipping envelope with your address on it.

I've used StubHub for pro baseball, hockey and basketball, as well as a Broadway show. Always worked perfectly.

They have official tie ins with MLB, so if you are buying tickets for baseball, it's almost as though you're dealing with the team.

As someone said, you definitely pay. My experience has been that it's almost always possible to get a better price near the arena on gameday, but if you need certainty (road trip, big group of kids, etc.), Stub Hub is hard to beat.

Bought tickets from them for 2009 Auburn game. They are to be shipped 08-2009. They are expensive and have a fee on top of the tickets. I needed 10 tickets close together so buying them at the game would be hard to do.

Demand determines how much you get ripped off, but if that doesn't bother you (which it shouldn't because it's usually not THAT bad), it's just about 100% reliable. Used it many times for MLB and NFL.

I purchased two LSU-UW tickets from a season ticket holder for face value back in January. Commission was something like 10% plus $11 or so for shipping. I purchased Mariner tickets below face value and printed the tickets at home. I bought two nose bleed Seahawk/Raider tickets for a total of $5.98 but with commission and shipping the total was more like $23. Hopefully all the tickets will be mailed prior to Sept. 1 when I fly out there.

I've bought and sold tix on Stub Hub. The tickets are sent Fed Ex and arrive in a few days. The commission is 15% (I think) so it's a little pricey, but they have a large selection and stand behind the transaction. On the Stub Hub page the seller can select the method of having the price go down each day automatically or a set price. If you're willing to take a chance the price may come down and it's a good risk, especially if there are comparable tix in the same location.

I have ordered tickets there several times and have never had any problems. Great way to get tickets to any game if you dont mind paying the money.

Would you say the prices increase or decrease as the event draws nearer?

I'd like to say "decrease" but it really does depend on the supply and demand. I've found that if there are several sets of comparable tix that I was willing to buy, I could wait it out. What makes SH attractive is that 1) the selection and 2) I knew that the tix would get there on time and they were legit. Good luck!

Multiple times. Have corporate account. Usually a bit more than other sites but worth every penny. Never had a problem. Not once.

Have bought LSU, Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox, Alabama and Broadway tickets, just to name a few.
