Can't seem to find a thread about this on the site, but I know there are folks who have been to the Grill Room. Looking for a place to take a group of about 10 Tuesday night and thought someplace in Perkins Rowe would be nice. Appreciate your help/comments.

MoT, have never eaten there, though it seems to have good atmosphere.. Had a bunch of margaritas there last weekend..

I had a good burger there and the atmosphere was nice. While I enjoyed it, I think I remember others on here calling it "average" or something to that effect. The place was not crowded while I was there however CPK next door was slammed. I'd go back.

the seafood app's were really good. the steaks were cooked to temp for all four of us. i just think a steak on the grill is often dried out. if someone is going to pay more than 25 an entree, i would prefer to eat somewhere else.

over all it was good, its just not my preference. the wait staff was good, the orders were correct. my only complaint is that the table for four was really small for our entrees and drinks. so, over all its a good establishment. it just isnt anytime super special to me. if im paying that much, i want something special. just my two cents.

Ate there for the first time last Week. CPK had a rediculously long wait for a Tuesday so we opted for the Grill Room. Was NOT impressed. Food isn't bad, service isn't bad. In fact everything went ok. I guess you would expect a little more than "ok" or "average" tho. But hell if your just looking for a decent meal then you'll be satisfied.

I've eaten there before and, while it was OK, it was certainly overpriced. The appetizers (chargrilled oysters, spinach & atrichoke dip) weren't anything exceptional. Overall, it's mediocre food at exceptionally high prices due to its locale.

Thanks all. I think we'll skip Perkins Rowe all together.

The food I've had at the Grill Room has been very good. They have a sashimi seared tuna that's good and I've had (I hate to admit) the macaroni and cheese with grilled chicken. The M&C comes with grilled or blackened chicken or shimp. The appetizers are also nice. I'd suggest it for a 40 yo to late 20's age group.. Friday's they have live jazz and it's a good representation of a classically modern restaurant.

Had a 24 hour brined pork chop with a sugarcane sauce that was really good, wife had a filet that was decent, overall I agree with above

also do not let them sit you in a booth, most uncomfortable table I have ever eaten at
