Joe Addai or Keiland Williams?

Which RB will we all look back on and wonder what might have been if he got 20+ carries a game?

NO question Addai. However when he wasn't injured his senior year he got carries. KW has A LOT of work to do this year to live up to expectations IMO, and I hope he does.

neither b/c they played for some of the best tiger teams ever and during the best decade of LSU football ever
so no regrets

addai could have gotten 20 carries a game for 12-13 games if his body allowed it
addai's body was made of glass, and it always held him back

I will never understand the love fest with Keiland Williams. He has shown me nothing that says he should be getting 20+ carries a game. I think he's been used just as should have been. Scott is the workhorse and, frankly, better running back, and deserves to get more carries than KW.
Addai was hurt alot, so it's hard to say he should have gotten more carries. Justin Vincent also had a career year in 2003 that detracted from Addai.

did you watch the 2nd half of 2006?
did you see his big plays against VT (twice) and AU in 2007 when he got playing time?

yeah like when he was running well and scott was running poorly in the 2nd half of last year, he deserved to not get more carries
or in the auburn game of 2007. score a big play to keep us in the game, and don't touch the ball again
great usage

Scott gets more carries, but he gets alot of his yards (other than the bowl) against the non-conf teams. He doesn't have that many great runs against SEC defenses.

LSU has done a horrible job with the RB rotation since 2006.

And against Georgia last year.

Yep, great plays. Did you see him get carries up the middle in games that same season, and not know which hole to run through? KW is a great change of pace back and can take it to the house if he gets in space. I love watching him in that situation. But you can't get him out in space 20 times a game, defenses adjust. CS provides the best opportunity for consistent yardage in the running game.

Just good enough to win a national championship in 2007

KW ran just fine in 2006 as a true freshman starter

Scott torched up UGA last year. I think he more wore out at the end of the year last year... KW also looked like a different guy the beginning of last year (I thought he looked slow) then he looked in the Tech Bowl game (back to more explosive self).

So did Justin Vincent as a true freshman in 2003. In 2007 and 2008, KW wasn't the best RB on the team. And I thought it was really obvious. And Alley Broussard was better than KW in 2006. Starting in college football doesn't really tell the whole story all of the time.

Or maybe KW is used EXACTLY like he should be and that is why he continually makes big plays. Have you seen how he runs on inside plays?
Oh and on the original subject, JA actually benefitted from the lack of punishment and was a strong TEAM contributer.

No, he really didn't. At least, not as "fine" as the bigger backs on the team.
