It still hurts...

as a graduating senior that was the last bowl game as a "student" (grad school after).

I will never forget from the seats I had, was worse than Tennessee, was worse than Texas, was worse than beating man handled by Florida this year.

Yeah I was sitting in the endzone stands where dude made the winning TD. Only good thing about that day was they sold beer at the game

It stopped hurting 30 minutes after it was over for me. It was a meaningless bowl game that only matters for the Big Ten to use as bragging rights for when they try to say the SEC is overrated.

It meant nothing. And I was there.

Yeah. And the Big10 network shows this game like once a month as one of its Big10s greatest games. I have my DVR set to record everything LSU, and I have to constantly delete this game.

I wonder if Florida fans are obsessing over their loss to Michigan in that same Bowl the year after THEY won it all?

It was a meaningless game with a lame duck coach. It's Blue Grass Miracle Karma. Football gods having fun.

I wonder why they never show the 2007 national championship game?

Absolutely meaningless game. The much bigger story than this game was who the next coach would be.

I still haven't seen a replay of that play.

Was the most fun I've had at a bowl game. But when I discuss with friends about road games/road trips/bowl games....it always gets blocked out. Iowa fans were a ton of fun.

At the time it sucked, b/c it was Saban's last game. Obviously the feeling for Nick was different before he went to Bama.

We ended up driving straight home from that game instead of staying the extra night. Had to change ESPN Radio everytime they replayed the radio broadcast of the last play. We were listening to the Vince Young coming out party in the Texas vs Mich Rose Bowl.

Sucks only b/c I hate losing to out of conference teams. Especially teams we play for the first time. Takes forever to avenge a loss.

Big scheme of things...not a very consquential game aside from the sentimental value of it being Saban's last game. That sentiment died when he became Bama's coach.

Yes but I wasn't there for that one, I hadn't planned my New Years and drove 11 hours for it.
I wasn't drunk and talking shite the last 48 seconds when JR threw the touchdown.

LSU vs Iowa is the one loss that still haunts me because it was so unexpected and I had expected so much. It being my senior year and not missing a home or away game for 5 seasons it meant something different to me.

The only reason some of you are saying it was meaningless is because we lost. Had we won, people would have been saying what a fine comeback it was and how LSU beat another Big 12 opponent. That game was the difference in finishing another season with 10 wins.
It speaks much better for a program when you look back on a decade and see double digit wins six times instead of five.

My in laws are huge Iowa fans. Up until they beat Penn St last year, my comeback was "it was the last big game you won."

After they scored the winning TD, the WR Solomon threw his helmet into the LSU student section and I caught it. Tried getting out of the stadium with it but security confiscated it from me

I attended that game. The ending was chaotic and funny as hell. We laughed it all up with the Iowa fans around us.
