Got it from Netflix, terrific documentary on the rating system and how crazy it is.

Like if you light up a cigarette = automatic pg-13...or if it shows a penis close up for over a certain amount of time = automatic nc-17...proper use of the f-word and n-word etc.

I suggest it.

yeah...

I would love for that to be my job though. Get paid to watch new release movies all day Monday - Thurday and live in million dollar homes. They must get paid real good.

A fricking great movie, my brother in-law who is in the filming industry never heard of it. He watched and said his fricking eyes were now open to all the Hilter mannerisms from the ratings people.

I never thought that those women were going to pull off the undercover work.

Saw this at South x Southwest Film Festival a few years ago and met the filmmaker, Kirby Dick. He's a pretty cool guy. His latest film is "Outrage" about closeted gay politicians who promote anti-gay legislation.

I watched this documentary on IFC last year, and I thought it was entertaining. I thought the best parts of the film were when Dick interviewed directors who had to give in to the ratings board in order to get an R rating, like the director of Boys Don't Cry.

I never realized that so many petty things, like whether a sex scene is filmed above or below the pelvic area could determine a film's rating.

Great, great documentary/investigation. Everyone in the film industry is thrilled that documentary was made to show the hypocrisy behind the ratings system.

Just watched it, was pretty cool, got sick of the dyke talking about her partner in that one scene though.
