Had a business Dinner there this week for about 30 and I have to give this place some props. These guys go above and beyond to make your dining experience a good one. Great Lasagna, Spaghetti and Meatballs and the Muff is one of the best in BR. This is the 2nd meeting we have had there and it has quickly become our groups favorite place.
If you haven't been there, give em a shot, you will not be dis-appointed!!!!!!!

I really don't care for the muff. They toast the bread too much for me, and it's not oily enough.

I find the service too be painfully slow the 3 times I've been there, but the food is great.

I don't like Italian last names with the letter "J" in them.. (there's no J in the italian alphabet) but it wouldn't matter if it were called Smith's because I actually had decent food there when I went to the one on Jefferson. The service was so-so.

Thats wierd... Generally the Highland location is lacking and has BAD service while the Jefferson location is the opposite.

I like the decor at the one on Jefferson a lot, but I just can't get into the food at all.

This will come as a great surprise to the people of Jesolo and Joppolo.

I was told that "Monjuni" is not a last name, but rather it means "a person who loves good food"............

I speak italian already. Thanks for the lesson, though.

"Monjuni" i believe means someone who likes to eat. Their was a write up about it in 225 magazine about a year ago. I believe its a play on words from the italian "mangiare" or french "manger".

Yeah, he was just being a dick

Mangiare just means "to eat". The uni probably refers to "one". Either way, I didn't get mangiare out of that name, many words that end with uni are last names over there.. but I guess it makes sense now.
Having the letter "j" is a newer phenomena where borrowed words and first names are influenced by other cultures.
Usually when a J is in an italian name in America it is because they are 4 or 5 generations removed from back when they had to come over on a boat and the guy writing your name down spoke English, just wrote down whatever sounded good to him, and you had to roll with it. There are many people in America who have italian or other heritage and they may not even know it due to their name being anglicized during immigration.
P.S. I was just joking when I said I didnt trust people with italian surnames with "J" in them. Didn't expect serious replies.
