ok... and since when did they have someone good to begin with? robihno is the only one and i was still like why the frick would you go there? maybe they should go after cheaper decent players before they just try to buy whomever

Well I mean the money is there, you would think one of these big names would take the cash besides Robinho. Steven Ireland, Shay Given, Jo (before transfer), and that other Brazilian are all quality players. Mark Hughes does suck.

meh, even so they still got manu chels arsenal liverpool and aston villa to fight for players and not to mention alot of these players would like to win champions league. man city has a ways to go but someone like tevez or etoo could help them alot.

Not at all. Its much more like Chicago if you're looking for an American comparison. It's not London, but nothing really is.
City will be in the top four within 3 years. As far as attracting players now, I'm not sure they really went after Ribery or Rossi. Their name just gets attached to any potential big money transfer becasue they can afford it.
They'll get Tevez soon and maybe Eto'o. They still need help at D.

No one wants to play for that shithole excuse for a team. I find it hilarious that they're whoring themselves out and everyone is like nahhhh, i'm chillin.

They only need to add 3 or 4 players. I could care less if they have to ask 5 or 40 players to get them.
CTID.

City wants so much to be Real Madrid. I'm predicting a middle of the pack year for them again this year.

Can you think of a better way to spend a couple Billion Dollars?
If they can get better at D, they can be top 7 and get in Europe next year (and attract some of those players that are saying no this year).
If they start the season with Richard Dunne, you'll be right.

So which of the top four will they replace?

Yeah, spending the money wisely.. not just throwing it at anything shiny. Buy some young players and mix in some savvy veterans. Stevie Ireland is a really good player, they should have offered Owen something like what Man Utd offered or maybe try to get Ruud van Nistelrooy or someone like that if they're wanting to spend money.

i don't think they're done targeting the real leftovers. ruud would fit for sure.
the smartest thought would be to buy like 4-5 american players to try to tap the US market

I think Arsenal. Liverpool also need to solve some $ issues. The problem with both is that if they ever don't make the top 4 (and Aston Villa blew it last year) the loss of Champions league money will hurt them for a while.

I can't really think of an American player that would really help them other than a Jozy Altidore type guy. Maybe Jay DeMerit?

Wanker is too good of a coach for Arsenal to not be in the top 4 while he's there. I don't like him or Arsenal but they always find a way to hover around.

They have plans to open a foreign academy in the UAE this year and have said that the next one likely will be in the States.

smart ownership
it will crack me up if a foreign club team builds/develops a better academy than the US national one
