i dont know how that would work out with all our other pitchers and incoming pitchers. Also he might be too valuable in middle relief on the weekends.
thoughts?

No. Especially since it's going back to one mid week game next season.
And b-ball is pretty much used for basketball.

The number of games hasn't been reduced has it? There should still be several weeks with 2 midweek games.
I don't think Jones would be a starter either though.

why would he start in basketball games?

The NCAA added back one of the weeks they took away from college baseball. Don't think it'll eliminate all 2 midweek games, but it should get rid of 4 of them. I think we had 6 last season.

IMO & IMHO I don't see him as a starting pitcher. He will probably be more valuable to the "f-ball" team next year so he will miss some practice time. Plus we haven't seen him pitch more than one or two innings at a time. He just seems more suited to be a releif pitcher.

The season will still be 56 games and will go longer into the summer. (they are dropping back to 4 games a week)
CJ is a reliever all the way.

He's not going to be a starter people...he may close though if Ott moves up to a starting role

Link? Everything I've seen has said the week has been added to the begnning of the season and all of the northern schools were crying about it (they would prefer it to be added at the end for weather reasons).

You are right about that. It will also go another week longer. This year the world series was from the 13th to the 24th. Next year it will start on the 19th and go to the 30th.

He definitely will not start midweek games ... because he will start all Friday & Sunday games during the season and every single postseason game thru the CWS ... his record in 2010 will be 44-0 (all complete games) with 731 Ks. Also, this fall he'll go both ways starting all 14 games at QB besides playing middle on defense. "Middle" is a new position created by Jones ... LSU will play 5 DLs and 5 DBs, and Chad Jones at middle. No team will score against them.

Do you really not know that, Josh. I would think our board's baseball expert would.
It's going to be one midweek game next year except for like one week with two.
