LSU basketball is not exactly a college basketball power house. Crowds are weak, our conference is not a strong basketball conference...kind of hard to recruit talent here.

need to give more time, the state is down now, Brady had the "luck" of not having to go far to get TT, Big Baby, Bass, etc.... Give the man a couple years before we judge.

I'd give him a little more time before making the assumption that he can't recruit. He sure recruited some good players to Stanford despite dealing with more stringent academic restrictions. He's going national and he will sign a blockbuster class in 2010-2011.

it seems gone are the days in any sport when a coach will be given 4-5 years to develop a program

Louisiana is thin on talent for the 2009 class and 2010 class. 2011 will be an awesome class.

Dude, he won the conference in his first try last year. His squad was the only one to give UNC a challenge.

Unfortunately he hasn't made his inroads in LA yet, but in his defense somewhat, it's been a pretty thin year for hoop recruits.

The New Orleans fab 5 could be suiting up in purple and gold really soon.

Brady was fired for not winning. TJ seems to have that part of the job down pat.

Call it taking the high road. Do you expect Skip to say publicly that giving Brady a raise and extension was the worse lapse of judgement he has had professionally, and that includes recommending Smoke for the job?

brady was fired for political reasons, Collis Temple wanted him fired, sure Brady was not winning, but the real reason behind the firing was politics- same old story at LSU- I like TJ and think he can be a good coach for LSU but at the end of the day the political powers rule.

Skip stated the main reason for financial- I am just quoting him.

And why was that? A large part of it had to do with that he never CONSISTENTLY won while at LSU. He'd have a good season and then LSU would fall off the map for a few seasons. His team making the final four and then failing to even make the NIT for the next two seasons was very typical.
