So Boise State, North Carolina, and WV as OOC opponents in 10?

I think that North Carolina thing was shot down. As far as this I am just asking, he claims he heard this on one of the BR radio shows.

If true this could our best OOC in a long, long, long time. I hope they are trying to step up OOC scheduling. Playing 3 or 4 nobodies every year just sucks to watch.

Lynn Rollins has a LSU radio show in the alex area on mondays, they mentioned last week about a game to be played in Atl next season or next vs bcs school.
Never heard them say who, I assumed it was unc.

BSU, UNC, UWV, UF, UGA, Ole Miss, Arky, Auburn, Alabama all in the same year? You don't really know much about football scheduling do you?

As a fan, these are great games to watch. If you want to compete for and SEC and NC, you don't do this.

There is only one TBA slot on the football schedule for 2010-11. Can't be both Boise & UNC...

Big OOC wins can separate those competing for NCs. We need to schedule bigger OOC games. Everyone else is.

If we went 11-1 last year we might not of made the NCG because our OOC schedule was a complete joke. If we're the best, we can beat the best. I agree scheduling like UGA did this year OOC is insane (Zona State, Okie State + GT), but an OOC schedule with WVU, BSU, USM and @ Tulane should be the standard, not "going out of our way." If we're a power team in a premier conference we shouldn't be scared of some good mid-majors. I wish we would do this every year...

1 Good BCS team (Any Top 25 type of team)
1 Decent BCS team (Any type of non Top 25, bowl type team)
1 Good mid major (Bowling mid-major)
1 Gimmie (IAA, Patsy mid-major, Duke/Baylor/Wazzu, etc)

I think that should be pretty much the standard for the SEC.

Exactly true. Besides, it's easier for our team and fans to get pumped for stronger OOC foes than it is for the weak ones.

Boise State has played games @ South Carolina, @ Arkansas, and @ Georgia this decade--all without a return trip to Boise. That's a good precedent for this to be more than a rumor.

But I wonder why Boise would do this. They can make it as an at-large to a BCS game by going undefeated and playing one Pac-10 team. Would the payout balance out falling down the bowl tier? Just seems like a smarter strategy on their part to stick with the home-and-homes with Oregon/OSU/Washington.

I'd love to see this game, but I bet it doesn't happen.
