He should credit for being at the games and supporting the baseball team but more importantly letting his guys play baseball. Saban would never stand for that, or would most other SEC coaches. I hope saw of the multi-talented 4/5 star recruits saw this.

I thought we were doomed when Les made us lose the first game.

Why the fuk does Maineri have to be grateful to Les for anything? Les ain't the AD.

Also kudos to basketball coach Trent Johnson for being there in support as well.

I saw him in the stands a few times--matter of fact, he wasn't far from coach Miles.

I absolutely agree this sends the right message. We already have a recruit for 2010, QB Zach Lee from Texas, who committed after he saw Jared and Chad play in the regionals. He said that seeing other guys play two sports here made a big difference for him. He will pitch and wait his turn to play QB.

Miles is a real guy...sooner or later the cocky TO type of recruits will realize that but it will be too late because character guys will already have won the championships.

JMitch was on a football scholly. Les' call, and like he usually does, made the decision in the player's best interest.

I think baseball/football athletes at LSU are under football scholarships because baseball can only give out partials, so thats why he was thanking Miles.

Nice info, I appreciate the update, but I'm tired of you people acting like Les is some kind of God or something.

Well I guess that settles it--

so as not to offend you, from this day forth, nobody will say anything positive about coach Miles.

on the MSU board they are griping that they lost good recruits because Polk and Croom would not let players do two sports.

Just because you don't like Mack Brown doesn't mean we have to talk shite about Les Miles. We appreciate what he has done for LSU and the way he represents. Les has our respect especially since he passed up what really was his dream coaching job to stay at LSU. Plus he may have done the best coaching job in the history of our school during the Katrina season. But you would have to understand the totality of everything he was dealing with that season which I wouldn't wast my time explaining after a stupid comment like the one you made.

You've obviously not spent a lot of time on this board.

Dinardo was another idiot coach who had the one sport rule or rather it was they could participate in that sport on that sport's scholarship. Something Saban did away with when he came to LSU.
