Despite the fact that a win would have gievn us the title tonight...this ballgame was just hard to stomach.

We handed them the lead tonight on a silver platter thanks to a throwing error. The bats never got anything going. Dean's baserunning screwup.

We were just never really in the game. I hope this is all out of their systems and maybe we can jump on Cole Green early...as in the top 1st...tomorrow. Then maybe Ranaudo can pitch the way it is supposed to be done.

I'm not lying, I am nervous as hell...tomorrow up until 6pm is gonna suck.

Well-the loss was a butt whipping-the win was a gift. Texas has been the better team so far both nights-but the odds are for the tigers to play the better game next-the real question is are we going to do what Texas did in game one and allow the door to never be closed.....

I'm with ya on that feeling bro. On the other hand AR is pitching vs. Cole Green tonight and out bats are due. LSU wins tonight - mark it.

Not me I'm with the State fan. Both teams played dead even Monday night. Texas played lights out last night while LSU had a Murphy's Law night.

If this team is truly conistent and true to the way it's played all season long, I'm expecting LSU and Texas to be the exact opposite tonight.

You see this all the time in baseball. It's the ebb and flow of the game. The only thing that concerns me is that I would like to have seen LSU end the game on a more positive note by getting an RPI or something.

Hopefully Manieri works his magic today and councils the team into an emotional and hungry frenzy to execute. It's time to throw out the zen approach. The zen approach is what we saw last night. It's time to go for the kill.

dude you say LSU is going to lose before every fricking game, and you are proven wrong time and time again (save last night)

just shut the frick up, stop doubting and enjoy the last game of the season.

i'd tell you to turn in your fancard, but you didn't have one in the first place.

well what's the point?

hoping for the best is 99% of what makes up a "fan".

you just seem like a naysayer and try to bring everyone down all the time.

chill out man, have some confidence in the team.

That's just the way some fans are. For me I usually positive until the game starts then if LSU falls behind it looks so bleak yet when LSU has the lead it feels like we are just barely holding on.

Frankly I'm not sure how you can make that assumption. Certainly the better team won last night, but LSU won the game on Monday. How can you say Texas was better on Monday? They freaking lost the game!

GEEZ!!!!!! You cyring about the umps EVERYTIME LSU loses any game is NOT what a fan is as well!!!! But they have 95% of LSU fans ALWAYS think its someone elses fault if LSU loses. Like the Umps or the Refs or even the broadcasters!!!!

Yeah, I'm ready to do this. I'm a little nervous myself, but I actually believe LSU wins tonight. I think last night was a little bit of a wake up call. Gonna go out on a limb here and say LSU scores 4 in the first, 1 in the second, 1 in the third, and 3 in the sixth, and win 9-2.

Why do people keep saying this? In game 1, LSU didn't commit an error to allow the go-ahead run to advance. LSU banged out 11 hits, incl a couple of homers. UT's starting pitching was sharper but our bullpen was spectacular.

The Tigers were every bit as good as Texas the first night. Hell, they were better and it showed in the final score.

We have the best team in the nation our record stands as proof of that. This is a gritty bunch of young men that I believe is the best or second best team in our history. The way we won Monday Night was a wittness to that. We earned that win. But, it also could have been the reason for our lose lsat night and that is not bad, I believe we will over come it to night.
This bunch of Tigers during the year where able to adjust to the pitcher and to his cycle of pitches from one time at bat to another. But, for some reason or other over the last several games they have not adjusted very well. They are not seeing the ball and I wonder if the way they saw the ball last night had something to do with the heat from Monday Night. They all played hard and played at a high level and that is physical draining on you over a period of time. They where on the field for a long time Monday Night. Over 4 hrs of physical and emotional strain is a big drain on your ability to perform at that high of a level. Also being able to see and react with quickness (or make the adjustments from one pitch to the other) the pitches that are coming at you at 90,93 or 94 miles per hour can make a big difference. Those of you that have had to work in high heat places know what it is like when you get over heated, you get out and cool down before returning. Well, these young men are unable to get out, they have to perform at that high level no matter the temp or amount of drain it takes on them. I believe these Tigers will win no matter what it takes they will bring the National Title of the College World Series home to where it belongs, at Alex Box Stadium!

My biggest fear is that our batters and our pitchers will be dwelling on, and carry over the doubts into tonight's game, the different strike zones they saw last night. It was like the Texas hitters new in advance that if the pitch was borderline low, they were going to get a call ball, while the same exact pitch were called strikes for LSU batters. First night, Coleman was trying to establish the outside corner, which the ump seldom called strike. He was eventually forced to throw the FB down the middle to get the called strike and we know how that turned out. Last night, ALL close calls went Texas' way, including the low breaking ball called strike, check swings, and bang-bang calls at the bases. Now the umpires can play fair tonight, but LSU's mental psyche is what worries me after that game altered performance last night.
