Why are Texas fans so sensitive? Why do you care what someone else thinks about your team?

Great job by Texas tonight. Dominating pitching performance.

That said... Do you have the "cojones" to admit you have not seen the same LSU team that brought us to this series. Possibly over-confidence on our part by reading our own TD press. I just hope that we have a best effort performance tomorrow by both teams.

Texas is a great team or they wouldn't be where are right now. We also have a great team. LSU is 5-0 when playing the championship game of the College World Series....and you can add 2-0 when playing for the BCSNC in football. That's 7 championships in 7 tries. We don't lose championship games!

We came into this game way too relaxed and cocky. Don't dispute it. You'll see a different team (and pitcher) tomorrow. Oh, and go throw your sob story elsewhere.

At least we don't take stupid curtain calls when we are outnumbered in the stands.

After the Regional, they looked awful. They have pulled it together in the CWS, I will agree with that.

I know all the LSU fans trying to take the defensive side in this thread, but Texas was ridiculed on this board and thought to be a joke for the number 1 overall seed

Absolutely.

Now all of a sudden, 2 pages of LSU posters don't recall ANY of the "Texas is sooo overrated" posts.

That probably has something to do with not seeing back to back pitchers this good.

Gotta give Texas credit.

FWIW, I still think they are overrated.

Maybe overrated as a #1 seed when the post-season started.

But if they win tomorrow, they're the best team in the nation, and it's not really disuptable.

Like the man said, link?

I myself posted at least a few times last night that Auggie Garrido did not win 1,700+ games and 5 CWS Championships by coaching teams that quit. I knew they would come out tough and fighting and they did. I also felt that if we could hit them early and string some hits together early we might knock the spirit out of them for good. We obviously didn't hit them early so we'll never know how they would have responded.

I was reading this board until the wee hours of the morning after Game 1, and I can't recall more than a handful of posts claiming Texas wasn't very good. The vast majority of them were extremely confident because they believed our GREAT team was better than Texas' very good team.

But there were also a lot of posts about the classless immature behaviour of Texas and its fans. I didn't give any of it much credence . . . until I read the OP of this thread.

I respect that Texas has made this a good series. And I like UT athletics too, have for a long time!
But are you really coming on our board and requesting an apology when Texas fans have called us toothless inbred retards who deserve to experience another Katrina????
Bye bye now. Go away.

Your link proves that Golfer thought you guys shouldn't have been the #1 seed. I happen to agree with him.

I think it was a little worse than that.

"The most pathetic #1 seed ever" was a little strong perhaps.

But I agree, several teams were in the running for the #1 seed. If LSU received the #1 seed, there would have been no argument out of me.
