Curtain calls in college baseball

You guys may rake me over the coals for this, but I don't like it one bit. I think it shows up the pitcher. If it is some type of incredible record broken, fine, but hitting a homer? No way I would allow it if I were a coach. Grand slam, maybe.

Why is it acceptable for football players to hotdog after a play, but not baseball players?

In College, "hot dogging" after a TD is illegal, no?

If they do it to Ranaudo he'll bean 'em with a fastball.

They can't in college, it's a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I saw an interview with Deon Sanders when he played both sports and was basically asked the same question.
He said something along the line of "showboating in baseball" is disrespectful to the game. Baseball is more classy of a sport than football. He only did it in football because it messed with the minds of the other team.
