If LSU loses 1 of the 1st 2 games, do they give the ball to Ranaudo for the 3rd game on a Wednesday on 3 days rest?

I doubt it, I would think they would give Ross a shot and if he couldn't get the job done, then maybe bring AR in relief.

Hopefully he doesn't have to pitch more than 9 innings.

147+9=156

That would tie him for 4th.

And furthermore, if Ranaudo only pitches 9 innings in the CWS then that means things did not bode well for LSU.
