Speaking of Milwaukee Greinke has had some of the worst luck this year. His 4.82 ERA doesn't come close to telling the truth.
I think Boston wins it all this season. I expected it preseason, and the way this team has played through all the injuries reassures my thoughts. Ellsbury is playing great this year too. I don't understand your concern, NHTiger. Stay calm, my friend.

I watch them every day. It is quite simple....get ahead and hit him with breaking ball and watch him fan at balls in the dirt. It's damn near dreadful to watch. He has his moments, but I shudder when it's a clutch situation.
Bruce is a top 25 outfielder, and he's underpaid considering his wins above replacement. If his biggest flaw is swinging at breaking balls, that's easily correctable. Yes his streaks have been hard to handle, but he's a Mike Stanton with less K's.

Where can I find the best rate for a first-time buyer of primary residence?
There are so many sites offering to compare competitive rates that I find it more confusing than helpful. Also, how would I go about comparing rates at local banks? I've heard that you can only get preapproved at about 3-4 banks before your credit report starts getting marked.

Yes, being over 6 adds to the problem.
I'll give these guys a call.

Oh, I know. I was just stating that in case anyone felt they were missing out on a big move.

Yet GOOG is still negative YTD.
When you go to transfer title, tell them that it is being gifted to you by a relative. Give them an insignificant sum like $100 or $500. I've never experienced a problem doing this.

Can you recommend a fishing charter out of Grand Isle?

I can't find the article that I read but you will get the best deal if you finance through them. Don't tell them you have the cash. A few days after you buy it, send them a check.
Just make sure you don't sign a car note with a prepayment penalty! A friend is stuck paying full interest on a car note he can buy multiple times over with just the balance of his checking account.

Ameriprise Financial Advisors - Thoughts?
Unnecessary
If you have no desire to learn stocks as long-term investments, then minimize costs by calling a Vanguard advisor. I'm in no way affiliated with Vanguard; I just highly recommend them to people in your situation.
re: Advice for trading

Trading off of charts is not voodoo, and day trading is not a guaranteed losing proposition. People say the same things about sports betting and poker. Do almost all people lose money doing all of the aforementioned activities? Yes. But if you have the desire to succeed, then there is a plethora of information available to you; but you are still required to exercise discipline and determination.

Since the market is shite, I'd make it standard practice to offer roughly 80% of asking price on any worthy properties you find.
Pretty sure 179 has a loss limitation

Markets are not random, so Burton is wrong.
To the OP, I'd recommend Making Money In Stocks by William O'Neil.

Toyota and Honda are the highest quality construction and engineering. The Koreans are closing the gap. Cars never go up in value, so do not carry a note if you don't have to. Otherwise, you're paying interest on an asset that is sure to decline in value.
Liquidity is being pumped into the system would be my guess, but fundamental analysis will rarely amount to anything significant in the stock game. i.e., YHOO had 700x PE in 1999. Everyone knew this wasn't sustainable. Some went short. YHOO continued to a PE of 2000x before the tech bubble burst. The fundamentalists were correct, but were not profitable.
They have no financial sense or discipline, hence they want more money. Like the current US govt, don't change anything just issue more dollars. I'm not on the owners side of the debate either. I think 18 games is ridiculous.
There's Belichick then a massive gap, then there's Reid and Ryan. Payton and McCarthy are decent. You can replace Tomlin's name with Dick Lebeau.
