My whole argument is based off of the fact that I think Louis Coleman is our best pitcher and I wanted the ball in his hands.

Well you did a poor job at illustrating that

Gotta get him in the pen. If you have to go to the pen in extra innings, I want the ball in his hands.

I have no need to call you names but this idea is just plain foolish.

Sorry that you can't follow logic. I stated several times that I wanted the ball in the hands of the 1st team All-American, SEC pitcher of the year.

Matty Ott is just as good as coleman. He has the experience this year and is comfortable with closing. Matty Ott is the single season saves leader for LSU.

I know it is a first post. However, I was also perhaps thinking along the lines of Coleman but not once we went ahead. If we had not scored to take the lead and he takes out AR then I could see Coleman because Ott is a two inning guy max and Coleman could have gone as long as we needed until we got the lead to turn over to Ott. You have to take into consideration that we were the visitors and you could not allow a mistake by the other relievers in the bottom of the inning.

You slay me. I remember you stating that many a time. I guess illustrate was a poor choice in wording.

Louis Coleman is LSU's best pitcher

Just kidding, but I'm not sold on the Ott is just as good as Coleman. Ott gives up many more hits. Coleman's opp. batting average is right on the Mendoza line.

The truth is that if LSU had received better starting pitching the first half of the year then Coleman would have never moved out of the closer's role.

Holy shite bro. Ott is MORE then capable of getting the job done, why waste Coleman when Ott can get it done? Why use the best pitcher we have and lower his pitch count for tomorrow when we have Ott to take care of it? Talk about over-kill. What, do you use a bazooka to kill a deer when a rifle works just as good???

I was starting to mock the Matty Ott, Matty Ott, Matty Ott response a few posts above mine.

I started this thread before we scored in the 10th. I was thinking this as well.

LMAO... I'll save my bazooka for a charging grizzly bear or some shite when a rifle will get the job done

(Note, I am not trying to say Colemant is that much better then Ott, just making a metaphor for the situation)
