Why are we the visiting team?
Wouldn't the higher seed be the home team?

Highest seed should get homefield in the regionals and super regionals.

They do get homefield (the game is in Baton Rouge), they just aren't always the home team. If a team has been "home" fewer than their opponent, they get to be the "home" team. In this case LSU was home yesterday and Baylor were visitors against Minnesota. If both teams have been "home" the same amount, they flip a coin.

I understand that but higher seeded team should get home side of the inning is my point. You are the higher seed you should get the option of only needing the ninth inning to bat if you are down.

I think it should too, but it's not the case now & probably not in the future.
