I don't think the Hornets want to use the MLE on a guy who has been with 4 different teams in 5 years. He had a good year this year but I would hate it if the Rockets gave him 6mm per because of it.

and i can almost assure you people that bitched about posey would be ok with this. of course, people are morons.

lawl.

VW has pre madonna written all over him. The guy has been passed around like a 2 dollar hooker in the NBA and has the nerve to piss and moan when RA sat him down in a playoff game. He has a lot of talent potentially but if he wants the MLE from Houston I can't imagine Daryl Morey giving it too him.

Does VW have the potential to go crazy and fight a fan?

If the answer is yes, I say we sign him.

fwiw, when Chris Pauls contract is up, he will look at FA. If there is a better deal than what he can get with N.O. he will leave.

If N.O. offers him the best job he will stay.

It is really that simple.

This would be the exact same kind of deal. Player has 1 good year and a team jumps all over him for it.

No team in the league can offer him the same deal N.O. can. It will come down to if he wants to stay or not.

i think there are some teams that already have what we would consider decent point guards that would be immediately better off with CP.

teams that could afford him?

If he makes it clear he wants a change of scenery, i doubt we just lose him to free agency...we would just deal him...we couldn't lose him and get nothing for him, the franchise would fold.

It would be cool if Latrell choked out Byron.
