obviously hindsight is 20/20, but was it the right move?

Ochinko was 0-3 but Leon came in cold...I don't know...we can question a lot of things

Don't think it hurt. He's been hot, ( 6 for last 7 ). Lefty / righty match-up.

Ochinko and Gibbs should have bunted earlier in the game when they came up with no outs and men on 2nd and 3rd.

that is my beef...I don't understand with our tendancy to hit into double plays, why we don't try to move the runners...we hit a ton of pop-ups (per Hawthorne) that could have been sac flies with men at third.

"why we don't try to move the runners"

we did that last week, hitting into a triple play and a double play, and everyone screamed why not just bunt them over

Thats the point. He was saying he doesn't understand why we don't try and move them over.

I have noticed as well that some of our guys have been caught stealing a lot more lately. Even Mitchell has been caught lately. Maybe facing so many left handers has had something to do with it. We also faced a few great defensive catchers of late.

i really really like manieri but this move probably lost the game. ochinko has been hitting well and was due. landry is quite possibly the worst hitter on the team. killed the inning.

i'm sorry i'm down on landry but, as great as he is in the field, his hitting this season is atrocious.

but, on the whole, coach's moves work much more often than not. this definitely isn't the end of the world. there is a ton of baseball left.

I liked the move. Ochinko looked lost tonight. Not bunting earlier in the game was more questionable to me.

Ochinko struggled tonight and he showed a little frusteraton at the plate. He also had the error at first. Landry has been getting ome pinch hit at bats and why not give him the oppertunity to get some confidence in his swing before we get to the post season. Post season always comes down to the depth of your bench. I understand LSU is trying to clinch the SEC, but getting some confidence in a bench bat could be nice. Plus Landry has a nice glove. I like Mahtook but I really think he is better in left or right and Landry's glove in center.

Our coach pulled all the right strings we just fell short and we now need to come out with fire in our eyes tomorrow.

TO A TEAM THAT'S UNRANKED PLEASE! TOUGHER COMPETITION WILL SOON APPROACH! LET'S NOT FORGET LANDRY DID HELP THIS TEAM GET TO OMAHA LAST YEAR!
