Chelsea's Gets Liquor License Back for now.

The court found that Chelsea's was deprived of due process of law. Chelsea's gets the injunction back to serve alcohol. Fined $1500 in mean time.

Anybody up for a Beer?

It seems that Remmetter lied about always selling more food than alcohol, which makes me feel dumb for taking up for him. He sold more alcohol in both 2007 and 2008. Oh well, it's still a good place that I wouldnt want to see go, because of retarded laws.

I think he only sold more alcohol than food one year, and that was the year in which they changed locations and didn't expect the type of crowd/alcohol sales to be so drastic. And shouldn't their be some sort of change to the law when you have a single day like St. Patti's that allows your establishment to sell so much alcohol at a disproportionate rate?

If Ivar's is in compliance, Chelsea's should be as well. Ivar's sells like two hamburgers a week.

Ivar's doesnt charge a cover. ATC apparently regulates cover charges, too!

He needs a lesson from 99.9% of restaurant/bar/anybusinessthatdealswithcash owners on how to increase his food sales while lowering his alcohol sales. It's called HIDE THE FRIKKIN CASH MORON.

But that's what I don't get. The cover and ID at the door starting at 10:30 or so seems like a practice that an organization like the ATC would be happy about. Isn't there role to curtail underage drinking? And isn't that basically what this does? Seems to me that the group just wants to go after Chelsea's. They get local bars in trouble for underage drinking, but when a restaurant that stays open till 2 wants to limit that practice the ATC revokes their liquor license. Strange.
