Got a Bachelor party in NOLA coming up in a couple weeks. Everyone but me is from out of town and they want New Orleans fare food. Does not want to go fancy like Commander's or August.... Suggestions?

New Orleans fair food

Perhaps folks are confused by why they would want fair food in a city that is known round the country and the world for it's culinary wealth.

Besides, you frequent this board quite a bit, there are literally 5-6 threads daily about places in NOLA, just go back a few pages.

I didn't mean fair as in carnival...I meant fare as in a range of food and drink. Sorry, I didnt know how it was spelled...

Yes, but everyone talks about Stella, August, K-Pauls, La Boca, Cuvee, Cochon....I was trying to find something more casual and along the lines of Jacques-imos...

I dunno how well it would serve as a "bachelor party" restaurant, but Jacquimo's is voted as some of the best food in the whole city every year, and isn't that expensive ($18-25 entrees).

Casamento's
Central Grocery
Port O'Call
Yo Mama's
Mat and Naddie's
Johnny's
Parkway Bakery
Domilese's
Dick and Jenny's
Pascal Manale

Someone who is from NOLA can add/critique/cuss me. Those are places I've been off the top of my head that fit your criteria.

That is laughable JaqueImo's isn't even in the top thirty or forty restuarants. But, it would be a good spot to take people from out of town for a bachelor party.
