do you mean once the strawberry ale goes out of season then the satsuma beer will be put on shelves...effectively replacing the void left by he strawberry ale

or do you mean it is actually replacing the strawberry one?

if so, i cant wait to read the fb statuses of all the traumatized sorority girls the day they find out

Abita would never get rid of the Strawberry Harvest beer... not going to happen.

I've heard bad things about the Satsuma Wit... but haven't tried it yet.

The bottle that you drank from must have been from last year and skunked, because the Strawberry Beer from Abita is really good and crafted very well. Its got Flavor, and I personally like Flavor!

You want to talk about a watered down beer with no flavor... Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors, Coors Light, Miller High Life. The worse of them all: Pabst Blue Ribbon, Natural Light, & The Beast (Milwakie's Best).

RICE BEERS SUCK!

I Tasted the Abita Satsuma Harvest in the Brewery Tasting Room 2 months ago. Its was not bad as far as Wit beers go. Along the same line as Bluemoon & Hoegarrden. Its got flavor too. I will buy it because it is a well crafted Louisiana Beer that keeps Louisiana People at work and Louisiana Money kept in this State.

I'll try the Satsuma

but will be pissed if they don't put out the Wheat...isn't that the normal summertime brew?

I had it a few months ago and was disappointed. Hoegarden and Blue Moon are better IMO. I love hefeweizens and I love Abita...but they failed to impress me.

That was the test batch (and it was brewed before the peak of satsuma season). I will give it another try when it is bottled.
