Tyson Jackson v. RJF

The difference between being the number 3 pick over-all and being at best a 7th rounder appers to be attitude. RJF is only 1.5 inches shorter and 1 lb lighter and can also play that 3-4 end position that proved to be key to tyson's draft success. I feel bad for Ricky, but this should be a lesson for kids who want to go to the NFL.

1) that's still a pretty big difference
2) I think the real difference is probably more than that, though

RJF ran a 5.2
TJ ran a 4.9
TJ is a really good athlete for his size. RJF isn't

It seems that RJF never really committed to doing what was necessary to make himself a top flight player. He obviously wasn't at LSU for the educational opportunity and he pretty much squandered the national exposure inherent with LSU football. Maybe, just maybe, getting drafted that low will force him to understand that anything less than 110% effort and dedication to the learning process will result in absolute failure. It's time for RJF to either 'fish or cut bait.'

1.5 inches is pretty significant.
Also TJ was much faster,
TJ started for 3 years and had a really good 06. RJF started for one year and had one good game his whole career.

It might be the fact that Tyson was pretty much a four year starter at DE for a very good SEC team where as RJF had a good freshman year, only played in one game at a new position his soph year and didn't have a great Jr year but declared for the draft anyway.
Oh yeah, Tyson is a freak of an athlete too.
