LSU is a better university all-around. I mean, people who can't get into LSU go to ULL and SLU as a back-up if they want to stay in-state.

The difference between LSU and UL is the football team. When people think of LSU they think of Tigers football. I have never seen anyone say anything about academics. I guarantee 10% of LSU is there because of academics, the rest because of the football team. I'd say that 28,000 enrollment leans more to the fact it's so easy to get into. I guarantee if you it's hard to get into, like you say, there wouldn't be that many. Louisiana has one of the worst school success rates in the country and I know damn well those aren't out of state kids.

This may be the dumbest statement ever posted on this board.

Man, I guess Florida, Ohio St., Texas, etc. must be the easiest schools in the country! Their enrollments are huge!

How about it is the best public university in the state, which means it is basically free. Most of us can't afford to go to Tulane.

Like other large state schools right?

What is a success rate? Do you mean a retention rate? If anything that means that the school requires you to actually complete some school work or you will fail out.

Thank you. They act like LSU is so expensive and hard to get into.lol. Some people don't choose a school because of popularity in sports. Some people choose schools because of location or specific majors, some don't like city life, etc. I hate it when people act like students from ULL, ULM, La Tech go to those schools because they couldn't get into LSU or couldn't afford LSU's tuition.
