Going to Orange Beach for the weekend soon and wanted some good recommendations other than chain joints or chicken finger/wing places. Geaux!

Run a search on the OT for last weeks thread...and go to the Gulf Coast Steamer for good steamed seafood.

The Original Point in Perdido Key which is just up the road is real good. The Oyster Bar is good.

sunset grille is nice to chill out. its nice and quiet and right on the river. calypso joes at the marina isnt bad. mangos is upstairs of calypso joes and is a bit nicer. cosmos is a nicer place to eat with really good food, little pricey though. just avoid the really cheesy spots on the strip. lillians pizza is good too.

The restaurants I went to this past week in GS:

1. Hooters: Can't go wrong with hooters, talent was decent, food was subpar for hooters standards.

2. Shrimp basket: Don't be fooled by their offer for all you can eat. Not any good.

3. Mcdonald's: Can't beat a mcdouble! (or 3!)

don't go to la lagniappe there it's way more expensive than here and you will wait ...instead go to their sister rest. cafe grazie in the same marina and order the grouper picatta! trust me on this!...also there's another grouper dish with spicy tomatoes etc, good too but picatta better...lillian's shrimp pizza too..
