pants aren't that big of deal, but please go back to putting the stripes all the way around the shoulder on the jerseys.

if you'll notice all the teams that have stripes on the shoulders like we do, they all started out going all the way down the shoulder, but now with the way these jerseys are made, they stop. the indianapolis colts' jerseys and ole miss' are good examples of this.

I dont care about the pants, I care about the game so Ive never really paid any attention to them. I mean im either to filled with joy to care, the games to good, or the TV is off cause were getting killed and I turn on the radio for a change of pace to see if it changes our luck (it worked for Troy)

The only thing I want to see with the pants is them crossing the goal ine for 6 !

I strongly agree, the stripes should match teh helmet stripes.

Since we are talking uniforms, I think that we have become much more yellow vs. gold. Secondly, the shiny pants offer much more visual pop like the GB Packers who have the shiny pants. The LSU on the helmuts are way to large, need to be condensed and lowered with either LSU & the Tiger eye as the new logo or just the LSU. If you want to be old school, just put the numbers on the helmuts like it was in the 50's 60's and to the 70's. Bama never changed their helmuts nor did SC, TX, OSU, OU, Ga,............. We fricked up the traditional helmuts with the oversized LSU and the lame tiger face.

And I thought helmuts were spelled helmets, i usually don't care about spelling but you did it twice, so you had me a little concerned, so i thought i help you out

yes there is a substantial difference from what we have now compared to what Josh Reed wore (as late as 2001). LINK (current)

thanks for the links. i like the K. Faulk pants, but that's just me. but, by gosh, don't ever change the helmets again, or I'll reign hell down upon all you who differ.

The stripes all the way around the sleeve bothered the players armpit regions because the stripes are thicker and embroidered. If we didn't embroider them they would look stupid.

Nike strikes again.
Actually I believe, looking at older film before the spandex pants of the 80's came along, this shade of gold is more like what was traditionally worn. The Tommy Hodson era pants almost looked orange in the sun.
I do like the stripes all the way around the arm better. Dont know what Nike was thinking there.
They did us in too. First, they changed our jerseys to maroon, we asked them about it, now we're red. Nike dosent have crimson I guess. Our road uni's numbers arent even the same shade as our helmet.
Oh where are you Russell athletic when we need you. Good move on your baseball uni's going with Russell. Nike needs to stay up in Eugene or wherever they are.

word is our contract with russell in baseball is up at the end of the year, and nike will become the new sponsor. this sucks because i think our baseball uni's are back to looking sharp and have a classic look to them. i have seen what nike does with basbeall uni's, not good.

I wish we'd go back to the old pants stripes too. That little yellow in between the purple and white just doesn't look right.
Then again, we could just have half-assed pants that don't match up like the 1966 Cotton Bowl:
