LSU the new #1?

Arkansas, #1 in the Collegiate Baseball poll, just swept Arizona St.,the #1 in the other 4 major polls.
Does LSU slide into the #1 spot?
Arkansas is 7-1 against the Pac-10 now with an RPI of 3 and SOS of 8, 24-6 overall.
Just looking for honest discussion.

Honestly, the way Arky is playing right now, they deserve it more.

If Arizona State doesn't sweep this weekend they may drop out of the top 5. The losses to Arky aren't bad, but combine them with even losing 1 to Washington St to give them a 2-3 week and it won't be good for them.

I don't see how the 'Backs can't be #1, they have beaten some solid teams OOC. 10-2 start in the SEC is even more of an eye opener. Just don't understand why they aren't ranked in atleast the top 5.

Arkansas is looking very impressive. Look forward to that matchup. As long as both make the top 8 in the final poll though I will be happy. Let the SEC host the tourney.

I'm not too sure why we have a SOS of 16. We play in the toughest conference in the world. Not to mention playing schools from louisiana every weekday. And we all know that Louisiana plays the best baseball.

How about we look at the whole season...10-2 SEC and sweeping No. 1 ASU. Sounds good enough to me to place them No. 1 right now.

but the rankings come out on Mondays, not Thursdays, so we have to take the weekend into account.

Wow, your intelligence really amazes me.
I would have voted them number one before this series against Arizona State, this solidifies it for me. Not that it matters any, I don't think an LSU fan controls what the polls say. However, I know for a fact you have a vote so keep us straight (in more ways than one apparently).
