OK guys, when you're on vacation(wherever), and a fellow Tiger spots you in Tiger gear, they will more than likely greet you with a "Geaux Tigers". Your response to this, and the ONLY response to this is "Geaux Tigers". Not "Hey Man" or even "Alright!" I thought ya'll knew this!!!! I'm in Mexico and 2 of the 3 Tiger fans I've spotted weren't up to speed. So for those of you who don't know, now you know. This is our lesson for today, thank you...and

I was in memphis for the gin show and was waiting on elevator wearing an LSU shirt, door opened, this 60 yr old guy steps out points at me in my chest and says in the most serious tone..geaux Tigers, and walks off.
I chuckled and said geaux tigers.
I liked it.

I was at the Audubon Zoo about two months ago, wearing my P&G, and a guy also in LSU garb said, "Geaux," to which I responded, "Tigers." But then he said that I wasn't loud enough. It was my first time though. Just give me another chance and hear what happens.

Understood...I was at an airshow with my parents a couple weeks ago, and a couple walked by carrying LSU chairs and wearing LSU hats. I hollered, "Geaux Tigers." The gentleman looked at me with a confused look. The woman finally said it back...

I saw a guy in NYC with an SEIU hat. the colors were purple and gold and all I saw was the U on the side. so as I passed him, I said geaux tigers. no response. then i saw the whole hat and moved on. My old man was about a block behind me and did the same thing. that dude was probably a little confused.

I'm gonna have to go out on a limb and disagree with you. I don't think it's a given that "Geaux Tigers" is a natural response in return.

I have given plenty of "Geaux Tigers!" in my time (travel quite a bit) but have never received one. If I did...especially if I was GT'd off guard (which would most likely be the case), I'd probably respond with, "Hell Yeah!" and then strike up a conversation with the source.

"Geaux Tigers" is the response I have always given and gotten.
My son, however, was in NYC last summer and had two different gentlemen approach him to talk about LSU. No, he doesn't have teh ghey!

I was in Mexico a few year back and gave a guy wearing a LSU hat a "Geaux Tigers" and he responded back with a "Hell Yeah". I thought it was an acceptable response. What do you think?

I was in Progresso at the cruise ship terminal and went to a Tiki bar....there was a giant LSU flag on the roof. I pounded Tequila shots and Geaux Tiger about about a half dozen LSU passerbys ..... only one response

Repeating what was just said to you is well....stupid. You were better off with "Hey Man"
