He killed an actual person, is that more forgivable?

Because Donte Stallworth isnt a superstar. Its just not as big of a story for that reason alone.

accident vs. intent and years of actions, plus lying about the incidents.

I think we have given you quite a few sufficient reasons Hendo.

Calm yourself.

true.

the worst part about the Vick case is that it totally overshadowed his exploits as Ron Mexico.

DO NOT tell me to calm myself. I just think killing a person is worse than killing a few dogs. I'm gonna start PETP and picket the frick out of ESPN for not vilifying him.

In my opinon, the Mike Vick saga was one of the biggest injustices in sports history. People talk about him like he murdered a person in cold blood. All he did was kill some freaking dogs! Yes, I personally would not have done it, but it really isn't a big deal. He hung dogs and shot them big deal, they are animals! This is a classic case of the media and all the liberal idiots in America making this guy out to be something he isn't.

because those idiots/nuts at PETA value the lives of animals more than they do people.

A dead person is worse than 40 dead dogs, yes.

Accidentally killing a person is way different from purposefully killing 40 dogs and abusing way more. We're all capable of negligent vehicular homicide (whether sober or drunk); I don't think most of us could bring ourselves to treating dogs like that for fun.

Vick was the NFL coverboy superstar on the cover of Madden, face of the franchise in Atlanta.

He was uncovered to have willfully run and participated in a long running criminal organization that brutalized hundreds of innocent animals. He willfully tortured and sponsored the torture of living things for sport and money.

Donte Stallworth had too much to drink, got in his car and hit a person crossing the street.

If you can't see the difference you are an idiot.

stallworth deserves his punishment but its in no way comparable to what Vick did.

Hit a person? You mean killed a person.

Indeed
I can get drunk and hit and old man crossing the street but I can't kill dogs.

huh?

Isn't The Human Hamstring being charged with manslaughter? Some of you are acting like nothing is happening to him, and Vick is away for life.
