Know any good simple recipes? Such as the best flavored powder to use, or fruits to add etc.

buy muscle milk. its by far the best tasting. I add fruit, about 8 oz of 0% milk and a couple small scoups of no fat ice cream. it works for me. Also, you can get jello no-bake cheese cake instant mix and use a scoop of the powder in the shake also, that is if you like cheesecake.

Can you recommend what flavor MuscleMilk? And what fruit do you use?

I'd use Optipro Whey. It's far less calories tham MuscleMilk. I'd just mix in some natural peanutbutter, lowfat milk, and maybe a banana.

MuscleMilk, IMO, is better for teens and young college students. If that's what you are and have a high metabolism, go for it.

the original musclemilk is over priced. now getting muscle milk collegiate or the large bottles are better.

Two scoops of Wheybolic Extreme 60 (chocolate flavor), two tablespoons Super Flax Meal, two tablespoons Smart Balance Omega all-natural peanut butter with Omega-3, one large banana, a handful of old-fashioned Quaker oats, a little skim milk or water, and six ice cubes.

Protein, Fiber, Fruit, Omega-3s, and it tastes good.

i would highly recommend Isopure protein made by Natures Best.
- It is pure whey protein isolate, not a whey blend like most other proteins.
- Most flavors have zero carbs, chocolate is considered "low carb" w/ 2-3g per serving
- This stuff mixes very easy with no clumping
- Dont buy it from GNC or they will rip you off ($50) If you do some shopping on the net, you can find a 3lb tub for less than $35.
- The only flavors i have tried are chocolate and chocolate mint and they were both great.
I honestly find i recover faster and am less sore when i use this stuff, no BS

agreed - they have the best tasting protein mixes out there

and also, the most fattening

of all the ones I've tried, I have never gained so much gut fat like I did on muscle milk - and anyone I've talked to that's way more knowledgeable on this stuff will agree, that shite is for high school students - not adults

100% Gold, Wheybolic Extreme and Pro Nos are the 3 I've had success with as a post-workout meal

with the best results from Pro-Nos. While 100% Gold and Wheybolic were fairly good at building muscle mass, there was no change to fat burn.

but with, Pro-Nos, not only did I put on more lean muscle, there was a measurable loss of belly fat

for whatever reason, I'm completely sold on whatever MRI puts out. It's more agreeable with my metabolism more than anything else out there.

Apparently you don't do enough cardio fatass... No need to question my intelligence on the subject. I have a degree in exercise science and a BSN. It does have some fat. But if you are adding peanut butter and all of this other stuff in this then it works out the same. I personally just like to by stuff that is approved by most athletic associations. Hence the muscle milk. It all depends on the person and their metabolism, I personally don't have any problem with the gut fat. I do also run and bike though....

I use it as a meal replacement in the morning for breakfast. I use the myoplex lite as my post workout shake. I work and workout at the hospital, I can't get to a blender....

well excuse us....

and cardio sucks, and it's tough if you work 60 hour weeks to have time to do good cardio. I walk or bike to work everyday, bike at least every other weekend for a few hours, but it's tough to make time. Don't belong to a gym, no yard, work too late to join sports leagues.

i usually a banana, thing of lowfat yoguet, handful of raw almonds, lowfat milk, protein powder and a spoon of dry oatmeal mix. if i have some berries sitting around i'll add some. how is that? i only add peanut butter if i am going for a meal replacement after a morning workout....don't add peanut butter at night.

I like Optimum Nutrition Whey

I get the chocolate. I've tried the strawberry and that is also good

Sometimes I'll add half a banana but I usually just mix it with water

Sorry for not spell checking myself. Just get a little upset when my intelligence is questioned. I don't post much, so I just have to learn to live with the criticism. I do work alot also though, but props to anyone who works 60 hrs a week. I couldn't do it. I just do cardio 3-4 times a week. I run and mix in bike riding, its fun. The one thing I don't have time to do is research all the supplements and since I live in the gulfport area the selection of supplements stores other than GNC is non-existent. So, if there is a better product, then thats fine. He just asked for a good tasting protein and I let him know.....

So, to be sure- I went ahead and re-read the thread....

quote:

I didnt until now - you're obviously a tool...an unintelligent tool

quote:

learn to live with the criticism

I would think a douchebag such as yourself would be used to the criticism by now

quote:

....you're making this too easy

I personally like to report on actual results based on my experience....crazy, I know

"approved?" - as in "we know it doesnt kill you" approved??

quote:

He just asked for a good tasting protein and I let him know.....

as did I

(a) Muscle Milk tastes great - probably the best on the market
(b) I personally gained unwanted weight and have had others confirm what I feel to be the case - it's not bad for you, persay, but it doesnt produce the results I'm looking for

FYI- I exercise 3 to 5 days a week with at least an hour of cardio each time I visit the gym with moderate weight training

but, as you see- that has no bearing on my original post
