"Gimmick/Mystery" Pitches

I've been interested in the different pitches that people throw that are considered rare or out of the ordinary like the knuckleball, palm ball, gyroball, eephus, and others. What is your favorite? Are there any that some of us may not know about?

My friend who I played with in high school threw a pitch that he called a "tumbler." He said it was a combination of a screwball, a slider, and knuckle. I think he just gave it the name since he was left-handed and people don't see "knuckle-esque" pitches from lefties to often.

Huh? Those 2 move in 2 different directions.

Kind of like my combination split-finger and rising fastball?

Bump.
Is that Japanese behind the back pitch legal?

I don't know, but I'd hope if a major league pitcher threw that, somebody would throw a bat at his arse. Sneaky fricking Japs!

Yeah the pitch is nasty...
I don't know exactly but either way it was different.

I wouldn't call a knuckle a gimmick pitch. But i did have a friend who threw a "knuckle curve"

Was your friend Mike Mussina?
I love knuckleball pitchers, though. And I also love bizarre pitching motions... Tim Lincecum looks like he's going to die. K-Rod looks like he's throwing his arm out with every pitch. I love that stuff.

Had a buddy that threw the "Vulcan Death Pitch". A forkball held between the middle and ring fingers. It sucked.

Was your buddy the pitcher for Stanford in the 2000 CWS Championship game?
