Wife and I going to Maui in a month

Enjoy the fresh pineapples and seafood. I stayed at the Royal Prince Hotel and they had a good sushi restaurant in it. The Royal Lahaina luau also had decent food and was a great show. Show up early for free drinks. In the hippy part of the island there was a great local breakfast place but I cant think of the name. I think it was a guys first name. It is close to woody Harrelson and Willy Nelsons place.

The Maui downhill tour was the best thing that I did in Hawaii!!!! And unless you're over 60, the road to Hana is BORING!!!!

If you scuba try going to Molokini, even if you just snorkel you should go. Was one of the best dives I have done yet.

Best breakfast in Maui is the Kihei Cafe in Kihei on the south side of the Island. Spago is an awesome experience. And Sorrento's has the best Italian with the best sunset.

Maui Revealed
It will bring you to many different great hikes, waterfalls, good snorkel spots. The road to hana is not boring if you stray off the road and go hiking or go to some of the smaller isolated local towns that are off the road. But leave early, like 6am so you skip the rush
What kind of restaurants are you into. There is a great sushi restaurant in Kapalua bay (North of Lahaina). The freshest sushi I have ever eaten. For an expensive dinner go to Pacific'o in Lahaina. It was an excellent dinner, the chef has his own personal garden in upcountry maui where all the produce is from, and all the fish is caught that day. Walk main street in Lahaina and look at the menus, pretty much all those restaurants are decent. Go to Moose Mcgillycuddy's in Lahaina for the cheapest happy hour on the island. I would stay away from the Luaus, since most of them are all tourist traps, but if you must, the feast at lele is said to be a good one.
Where are you staying on the island. I may be able to get you a little more detailed information. Right now it is centered around west maui.
Oh yeah, if you are into beer, then maui brewing company is a MUST. They have some great beers. Also, if you are into wine, Tedeschi Winery is in upcountry. Have a nice tour and tasting room, and I guarantee you will be buying some bottles to bring home.

The wife loves sushi and I like it, just not as much she does. The only problem is she is 3 months pregnant so we won't be eating much sushi.
