Did the SEC deserve more than three teams? I doubt it.

Why in the hell is everyone bent at Slive??? Dude was not allowed in the room when an SEC team was being talked about- meaning he wasn't out of the room for very long at all.

Tigerontheprowl,

I am fully aware of this. Nevertheless, he must have just showed up 30 minutes before the drawing and said some comments at the candy machine and then went into his private suite.

Dude, I totally agree, but I am not sure about him being on that committee to begin with. Guess it's part of his responsibility. He is a weak commissioner to begin with.

He is such a worthless POS the committee probably punished SEC schools to get back at his sorry bama loving arse.

Then Auburn should have won more. It's pathetic to depend on Slive to get you in. Win more and you're in the tournament.

Slive's job as part of the committee was to select the best at-large teams for the good of the NCAA. He had to leave the room when a SEC team was discussed. It was not his job to look for the interests of the SEC as a committee member. His job was to make sure the best 65 teams are in the tournament.

obviously, i was kidding but i bet some auburn fans wish he would have been able to wield some influence on their behalf. regardless, they had a resume good enough to be a bubble team which means keeping them out is going to be controversial.

the consensus seems to be that the brackets are pretty spot on this year. anyone that thinks Slive should have used his position to do more for SEC teams is an idiot.

sucks we got 8 seed, but we'll make due and we can see what these veteran guys are made of.

Yes, way to show class and not try to put one of too many of the worst big conferences teams in.

You guys find anything to complain about.

But it still reveals to me that he has no respect from the other committee members to produce these results. The SEC may be down but we're not THAT bad. Auburn deserves to be in, and the seeds of the three, who did get in, were too low across the board by 2 spots each. I guess if Ky and Fla do not win the SEC, it must really suck.

Auburn was the only team that might have had a chance to get in and Moo State probably knocked them or Penn State out. SEC was lucky to get 3 teams in this year imo.

btw, Moo State made it a lock for three teams. If Tenn would have won, it might have only been two.

Slive shows that he has no power and is not respected. LSU is seeded way to low for a team that won its conference early.
