if you're a jockey you could easily fall off and get trampled but in racecar youre strapped in ready to go kick some arse

so, you're saying that this doesn't contain any amount of petroleum at all? doesn't it requir SOME gasoline? c'mon, it's a waste of fuel no matter what the hell they are burning.

tell that to Dale Sr.

bu seriously though, those horses are trained to run a track, if the jockey falls off, the horse may still keep running

I would pay a premium if I could get the "crank it up" segment for the whole race. No announcers...have a ticker along the bottom with news/standings.

I'm not the biggest nascar fan but I keep up with it..West Coast races are by far the worst...those are the ones that cut into those shows

Its not a sport and for the guy saying that Golf is not a sport is kidding himself. I played competitive golf for 3 years and it takes alot more work to be good at golf that it does to be good at driving a car in a circle.

anyone could play a round of golf...walk the course..so on...they may not hit the ball as well as a professional..but they could do it.

Not everyone can "drive circles"....even at half throttle...the car jerking around like it does, endurance, heat....

Nascar drivers are much better athletes than golfers....because nascar is much more physical.

Again tell that to Serena Williams, John Salley, John Elway, John Cena and other athletes that tried driving a race car. I can't remember that show from a few years ago where they had athletes trying to be NASCAR drivers and they'd get eliminated for slow times and certain penalties. It's not just driving in circles.

I'm sure if NASCAR didn't waste it, then a shite ton of people would be standing in line to use 110 octane racing fuel
To be honest, they don't run on 110 octane anymore. Since NASCAR made the switch to unleaded fuel (Sunoco 260 GTX), the octane rating has dropped to 98.

I think that any of the motorsports has to be considered a sport, because it does take amazing reaction times to be able to do it successfully.
