Season Breakdown
This Vanderbilt team is a very young team that shows their inexperience with turnovers and missed assignments. They are led by their Center A.J. Ogilvy from Australia who gets the majority of touches for the Dores. They have some impressive wins to go along with some very discouraging losses including wins vs. Kentucky and South Carolina but they lost to Georgia just a week ago. They play some players off the bench to try and help their immaturity but they still play a lot of Freshman.

4 of their starters average 10+ ppg ... reminds me one of our brady teams with dupree, collis, torris, jermaine & company who all averaged over 10 a game yet we still sucked
we should be able to win this one pretty easily...i'm hoping for a double digit lead...knock on wood

I agree that it seems they have a balanced scoring attack. Do you think they will double up or front their big guy down low? That will be a big body for CJ to get around.
Looks to be a good matchup and help prepare for tourney play and teams with big inside folks.

well done, south. this is an amazing scouting report. a lot of fans arent too familiar with vandy this year but this certainly helps a lot.

Ogilvy is very good, the rest...not so much.
I say any player guarding a perimeter guy should help down on him similar to what we did on Patterson late in the UK game.

I was thinking of you during the game Sat., Kige.
As my usual ever since living in Louisville, I was thinking how happy I was that the UK fans were having their hearts broken, as I've always considered them the basketball equivalent of Alabama football fans... but then I thought of you, and felt a little guilty for it!

Yeah, tht was in the middle of draconian NCAA sanctions. Those teams played their hearts out night after night and competed as well as any LSU team has, but just didn't have teh depth. Actually in 2002 they made the NIT and beat Iowa.
The next season they added Lloreda and Darrel Mitchell and the program began it's ascent.

That's a very nice report.
The win over Kentucky really seems notable, but not that much of a concern.
