I'm doing the same thing.

How much are you going to buy? How are you going to store it? If I just put it in the fridge there wont be room and my roomate and our friends will drink it all.

Next Monday (March 9th) is when all retailers and bars/restaurants in the BR area will be receiving their first deliveries.

The first year it was out I made fun of my friends for drinking such a sissy beer. The second year it was out I fell in love with it.... Now I'm ready to stock up.

How do you store it? I heard it has a short shelf life, and I gave up alcohol for lent, but I definitely don't want to miss out on it.

It's so DELICIOUS!!!!!!!

I don't know about its shelf life, but I know that grocery stores last year were prepared for the storm and bought more than they could handle, and had it in stock well into the summer.

So, while your next 33 days will be miserable by my standard of living, you won't miss the boat

I'm going to NO for a wedding at the end of March, and that weekend will be dubbed "The Official Lenten Cheat Day." We're leaving the baby here, so it wouldn't be right if we didn't go out and have some fun.

I talked to one of my friends that works for a local distributor. He said they started getting them in the warehouse and should be in stores by Monday.

Bought it at Albertson's on Burbank/Bluebonnet yesterday. Cashier said they had just sold a pallet to someone and that this years batch is going to be "short lived." Said that Abita wants to do a Satsuma beer...

i'm a big fan of most Abita products but this doesn't sound promising. citrus is a flavor that just doesn't translate well into a beer....at least in my opinion.
