If you are buying land as an investment you should be looking at land that will go commercial over the next few years. Lots of opportunity in Pike County and Goshen Springs/ Flowood area. If you get the right piece it's JACKPOT. My friend purchased a 6.8 acre piece in New Albany Ms. 5 months later they announced that a Toyota plant was coming in. He purchased the land for $24,800. Sold it 2 years later for $985,000. Not a bad return for a two year investment.
