I don't like LT here. Old, expensive, and too much of what we already have. PT deserves the start, he's done nothing but out perform everyone on the depth chart.

LT facts:

1) HOFer.
2) 8 years in league, 8 1100+ yard seasons, 8 double digit TD seasons.
3) Is 29, turns 30 in June.
4) Has had lots of touches in 8 years.

I don't think he will regain elite status, but I also don't think he's broke down either. The Saints/LT relationship really depends on how they'd get him (trade? FA?) and how much he'd cost us.

If we could pick up LT for no draft picks and a reasonable contract, I don't see it as a bad move. He's be a short term solution for the Saints window and wouldn't be loaded with touches here.
