Full picture emerging from the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting...
-Suspect assembled a "long" weapon in a lightly monitored area near the terrace-level entrance, according to a volunteer witness
-The room had bar carts being stored and "no security" at the time
-Witness Helen Mabus said the gun "didn't look like a typical gun" and was assembled from a bag
-Gunman then rushed toward the stairs leading down to the ballroom
-Opened fire in multiple directions, witness estimates "at least 10 shots"
-A law enforcement officer was struck, hit in the vest, condition unclear
-One person in custody, Trump and Melania safe
Secret Service and Metro Police actively investigating
The fact that someone could assemble a long gun from a bag inside the venue, in a room with no security, before charging the ballroom is a massive security failure that's going to define every conversation tomorrow.

Apparently he was a guest at the hotel. I’m betting the SS agent was shot by friendly fire. Watching the video there was all kinds of potential for crossfire.

They're saying the Secret Service and FBI already have his residence in California taped off and are going through his home.
