HEADLINE:
Zion Williamson and Anthony Bennett are the only #1 overall picks from 1973-2024 that have never played in a playoff game.
Unfortunate.

At least Bennett didn't get a near Max second contract. So, Zion is the bigger fraud by far and the joke's on us.
Sidenote: David Griffin was responsible for both overall # 1 picks and thus is 0 for 2 and batting .000.
DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!

Griffin trades away Ingram a good player who did play in the playoffs. He traded him away because he didn't perform well enough in the playoffs, really, but Williamson has never played in the playoffs.

He traded away Ingram because Ingram turned down an extension and demanded to be traded. He wanted to go to Toronto because they would give him the contract he wanted, and he wanted to be somewhere with no pressure. His agent, Rich Paul, stated all of this.
You don't need to re-write history to support Ingram. It's just weird that you would be so faithful to someone that quit on the team last year, refused to play, then forced his way out.

Zion's honestly worse bc he's wasted 7 years and counting of a franchise and fanbase 's time. Bennett had been out of the league for 4 years by year 7 and the Cavs were able to reset with LeBron, Kyrie, K Love and win a championship.
Zion Williamson is the very worst and most damaging NBA franchise player of all time.

Since you brought it up.
Looks like they are not going away anytime soon . Another former Pelicans player . JJ Redick . And he is winning games with key injuries . How about that?
Oh did you see another former Pelicans player Jaxson Hayes with some key defensive plays late in the game.

Hayes has turned into a pretty solid player for the Lakers. Took him forever though.
