Pittsburg at 53 seems to be the trendy pick.

I'd love for him to go to Philadelphia in the 3rd. Jalen Hurts is on the hot seat, fans hate him. Nuss is the type of gunslinger that could actually take advantage of Makai Lemon and Devonte Smith. Might have to put Hurts back in for the tush push, though.

Its the best fit sitting for ine year under Rodgers, but I stand with thats too high of a pick to use on a player who hasn't developed like we all assumed.

I just don’t see a team looking at his film and thinking he’s there future. I’m betting he’s a day 3 (rd 4+)

He's good enough to at least take a shot on him...but not good enough to EXPECT he will be your team's future. Someone mentioned Mayfield in this thread. I have long thought that is the best comp for Nussmeier. Guys who are not huge in terms of physical size, but who seem to be able to generate more velocity on throws than you might think. They are also both guys who play with extreme self confidence and aren't afraid to try to make any throw. It's great when it works...but can backfire quickly...which ultimately results in inconsistency

To me, I just don't see Nussmeier ever improving much beyond where he is now. The reason is because he was making the same dumb decisions mistakes as a 5th year senior as he was in his first "start" vs. Arkansas as a true freshman. The needless spin away from pressure where he turns his back to the line and can't outrun the rusher, the unnecessary throw into coverage followed by the "shocked" reaction when it is intercepted, etc. 5 years...no real growth. IMO, that's made even more worrisome by the fact he's been tutored his entire life by a father who was an NFL QB then major-college/NFL coach, along with multiple OCs at LSU. I can't imagine ANY of those several coaches were coaching him to make those plays. Yet, he continued to make them. Why would that change in the NFL?

Nuss would get skinned alive in Philadelphia. He has a game where he throws 2 or 3 interceptions then that fanbase will be over Nuss as well.

You don’t waste Day 2 picks on a future career backup QB

Want all the best for him. Hope you are right.

Hope it's not by the Saints.

Except Baker doesn't have cinder blocks for legs.

Nuss will be a serviceable backup who will make a ton of money in the NFL and live a great life. He will not be a savior for any team that drafts him. Great kid. Loves LSU. Average at best college QB, let alone NFL.

Well at least that would be a valid excuse.

Even if they do select him, he’s not passing up 2 year backup Tanner Mckee that has been in the Eagles system for 2 years now.

He survived a year of Tiger "Fans". He has grown accustomed to attacks.

At least he would have an O Line and running game.
