He totally checked out in Mexico this past weekend
His arrogant a-hole personality was on full display

Anything new with him is a full facade. He has it written in his head he's the best player in the world and the results are far from it.
The new man of the people act shows cracks quite frequently and I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on it.
Not someone I root for.

Feels like more clickbait, but he certainly seemed frustrated in Mexico. Interested to see how it all plays out.
Maybe Scott O’Neil is actually a world class bull shitter

And when asked about Bryson DeChambeau’s future, he said: “I’m with him way more than I’m with my own family. There is nobody more passionate than this game, team golf, growing the game in the most purest sense of the word than Bryson. He loves LIV Golf and I’m pretty confident we’ll find a solution.”

The reporter, Brody Miller, is in Nola? What does he have to say about status of LIV Nola in June?

I feel bad for O'Neill. His job right now is to sail a sinking ship and do it with a smile. He has no choice but to be a world class bullshiter.
As far as Bryson goes, there's no reason for the PGA Tour not to offer him the Brooks deal, since he is otherwise qualified for the tour the same way that Brooks is (major champion last 5 years). Otherwise he could just hop onto the DP World tour like Patrick Reed has and play his way back on. Why waste a year of Bryson over there?
Hopefully cooler heads will prevail on both sides. If Bryson things the tour will pay him to come back, then he is as out of touch as Greg Normal was.

Wait til he plays City Park South, good muni, horrendous for professional play

Retiring and never doing another thing ever is also a viable plan for this guy with as much money as he's made over the past few years.
PGA doesn't need him as much as he thinks they do. 'F you' money doesn't put you in control of anything other than yourself and what you decide to do or not do.

Why would the tour pay him? Tour Ratings are up with Bryson on LIV….
Bryson is awesome, he is popular, but individual golfers are completely dispensable outside Tiger woods. People watch for the courses and prestige of the tournaments. The players as individuals have no worth and are completely replaceable

Well because that course fricking sucked and he was playing injured

Not entirely true. I live in New Orleans and would go to the Zurich if Bryson, Rory or Scottie were playing. Players are a big draw.

No sizable meaningful revenue comes from the tournament as it relates to the PGA tour. It’s all about the TV draw and media rights deal (which is true for any sport) And it just doesn’t move one way or the other for individual golfers outside Tiger
