Everyone keeps harping on the offense. It's not great, but it's good enough to win more games than we have. Our defense and pitching are keeping us from being competitive in too many games.

Completely disagree. Several games we’ve should have had the lead early in games if it wasn’t our complete ineptitude on the offensive side. The game gets much easier with the lead and you’re not just chasing runs.

The truth is we aren’t above average in any phase. Hitting, pitching, fielding and base running are not good.

Sure wdd Ed have our moments when we’ve rallied against back line pitching, but for the most part the better arms stole us and we get behind.

We are 13th in the SEC in ERA. We are last in defense. But the offense is middle of the pack: 5th in runs scored, 7th in batting average. The offense is not good enough to win Omaha. We know that. But to pretend that our pitching isn’t a huge issue is disingenuous.

Looks this up. 6 of the 9 returning pitchers from last year have worse ERAs than they did last year. 7 of 10 if you count Guidry. Is that bc of our offense?

Everyone can blame the transfers, but what about the players who are playing worse now than they did a year ago. It isn’t just 1-2 guys in a sophomore slump.

That's 100% the fault of the Head Coach. He's responsible for all aspects of the program.

I heard Todd Walker on radio say Aggies were averaging 10 runs a game in SEC play. So they had an average performance against our Ace last night.

He also said that pitching drop off for both teams indicates the Sunday game will produce a football score.

Like 50% of these runs came in like 3 games. It’s not the total output. It’s the consistency. Give me 6-8 runs every game versus averaging 3 or 4 and then blowing up for 15 runs every two weeks. I’m not defending the pitching. Just saying our offense has been just as bad and in some cases the main reason why we’re in this position. Let’s just face it, it’s all bad lol

The average is ok, but how about the run production? I don’t know, but we had 10 hits yesterday and 4 runs. I would guess the run production is lower in SEC.

How about dispersion of said runs in games? Meaning consistent run production.
