Will 13 SEC wins get the Tigers in a regional???

All that matters is getting hot at the right time. We probably get sent to Southern Miss. Can definitely beat them. Team has talent for sure. Just not playing good baseball at the moment.

No. RPI/non-conference resume is too weak. 14 should do it but we're talking a 8-6 finish for that. Better start winning some games.

That means absolutely nothing lol. LSU was ranked that high based strictly on because they are LSU and they are defending national champs. Yes we all thought this group of guys that Jay brought in was going to make some noise but it turns out they are just not that good. Not good enough for the SEC anyway.

I don’t think we have to worry about it. We would have to finish 7-7, and everyone left has been playing pretty solid of late. Even South Carolina will be tough. They are 5-11, but most losses are by a run or two.

What exactly makes you think we can beat Southern Miss? We’ve lost countless mid week games and every time we say oh it’s just a mid week. We lose countless weekend games and say oh we just need to get hot at the right time. At some point you have to believe the product that’s been put on the field. 962 fielding percentage is tied with Alabama for worst in the league. 3rd worst team ERA in the league. I will watch probably every remaining game and root for the team throughout but man it’s hard to believe this team does anything but bows out of a regional if they even make it

And neither does the majority of fans. They look at the ranking and decide those people are geniuses and base all of the expectation on that ranking. I despise preseason polls because they are historically bad and basically mean nothing.
I will never give up on the Tigers! But also am realistic. This is a massive rebuilding year. Even so, this team is surprisingly bad. But we’ve been there before and have a great tournament run. We will see.
