I assume that Cuba is next but I have no idea how administration will go about it but I'm sure the people are begging for it
Any thoughts on how it ends up?
My only apprehension is that we take it over and they pay for that country to become alone Puerto Rico which we do not need

Rumors are the military has provided several options, all of which would largely resemble storming the beaches of Normandy.

When Cuba is free from Communism, the investors will flock there.

From the very beginning of Castro's govt. their leaders have explained that Cuba's communism would work great except for the U.S. sanctions against them. The people probably bought that. But, it's been over 60 years and their govt is still using that excuse. Do the Cuban people still buy it? I doubt it.

I don't think there will be much resistance when the time actually comes it's just what happens after.
I would prefer a separate country with close ties to US as a protectorate but no voting and no assistance like you said business will flock there

I made this post in another thread a while back. I appreciate all that contribute on this board, and many of whom are very informative. So, where I believe I can add to the board, I'd like to help... Here is what I posted, and hopefully this helps relative to this topic:
I’ll throw in my 2 cents here…
I’m a Cuban American (although I hate that term and I don’t use it, because my family just considers ourselves Americans… we don’t want a hyphen… but I throw this in here in order to give all of you a clearer perspective). My grandfather was born in Cuba, but moved to the U.S. when he was young. He fought in the 10th Armored Division under Patton in WW2, and after the war, became an electrical engineer, and after marriage, raised a family of proud Americans.
Now, I take my family to Cuba every year to visit the remaining family and friends that we still have there. I follow the Cuban situation daily.
You might be surprised at how much Cubans follow American politics. Even in Trump’s first year of his first term, the Cuban people were buzzing about him. When I would talk to Cubans there in Cuba, and once they found out I’m American, they all instantly want to talk politics. Usually, they start by saying they are excited about Trump and that they feel that he is the first American president that might actually do something to help take down the communist regime in Cuba. Again, they have all felt this way since the beginning of his first term.
I get that we are slow-playing Cuba with this oil/gas blockade. Most Cubans I know all tell me that they are excited about the future prospect of freedom. They say that they know they might suffer for a bit, but they say they are willing to go through this it brings freedom.
The only problem here, as you might guess, is that the people will suffer while the government pigs there will take care of themselves. Myself, as well as the many Cuban people I know, would love to see the U.S. send in the navy and remove the communist regime. Make it quick, and establish freedom in democracy without the people having to suffer.
I’ll digress here.
